An Annual Affair

For over 20 years, Speaking of Gardening has been hosting an annual 2 day symposium in Asheville, North Carolina to educate and celebrate garden professionals and enthusiasts.

The committee applies for and receives pre-approved continuing education credits for professionals registered in NC from NCBOLA, APLD and NCLCLB.  Professionals registered in other states usually apply for and receive CEU’s from their state’s licensing organization. Master Gardeners from Buncombe County and surrounding counties also receive CEU’s from their respective Master Gardener programs.

How 2024 will be different from years past

The Perennial Plant Association is holding their annual conference in Asheville this year! Being very like-minded people, PPA approached Speaking of Gardening to see if we could collaborate this year. Speaking of Gardening said, Yes we will!

This year the Symposium will be held on 8/1/24 and 8/2/24, a Thursday and Friday. Thursday we will share space and speakers with PPA, and on Friday it will be just Speaking of Gardening in a similar format to years past.

We are so excited to be doing something a little different with the really awesome people at the Perennial Plant Assocation! We hope you will join us on August 1st and 2nd, 2024.
